How to know if this training is for you:

You care deeply about your students and their reading progress, but you don't yet know the steps to help them. Maybe you have a reading program, but you are not sure how to get it up and running. Or, you don't have any resources at all. Maybe you have been a reading intervention teacher before, but very little learning happened due to behaviors. This free training is for educators who are:

  • brand new to reading intervention

  • intimidated or confused by the reading intervention curriculum

  • looking for an easy to use, yet effective system for intervention

  • stressed out and overwhelmed by all that goes into reading intervention

  • supporting reading intervention teachers with no experience

  • teaching students with varying levels of reading ability in the same class

  • working with students with BOTH reading and behavioral needs

What you will discover in the reading intervention master class:

This workshop will move you from overwhelmed to calm and confident. You will leave ready to tackle whatever reading intervention class you are responsible for this year, and any year in the future. We will cover:

  • Setting the foundation for organized and effective lessons, leave with the first week(s) of lessons and daily slide show ready

  • FREE resources for teachers who have nothing- I will show you how to access free screeners as well as free resources

  • How to get the hang of your reading program, whether it is Wilson, Read 180, or how to use the Orton-Gillingham approach in small groups.

  • How to leverage the support and resources within your county or school

  • How to make differentiation work smoothly- we will set up the systems to give each student what they need without it burning you out.

  • Systems to make IEP data collection effortless

BONUS: everyone who attends the live session will be entered to win a FREE year long workheet bundle, a 160$ value.

About Veronica

Hi, I am Veronica! I am a reading specialist, certified special education teacher, and educational therapist. I have over ten years of experience working with children and teens with a variety of literacy and behavioral challenges including dyslexia, dysgraphia, visual processing deficits, speech and language weaknesses, and ADHD.

As a special education teacher I have served students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders as both a teacher and IEP case manager. I have also been trained multiple times in de escalation and crisis prevention programs including Crisis Prevention Intervention as well as Mindset, and I have safely used these techniques to respond to students in crisis. I have also participated in multiple trainings on restorative practices. In my role as a special education teacher, I conducted a number of functional behavior assessments, and worked alongside behavior specialists to support students' emotional and behavioral needs.

I have written, updated, and implemented multiple behavior intervention plans (BIPS), including the data collection process involved in assessing students progress related to behavior interventions. I have also co-facilitated multiple social skills classes alongside school psychologists.

I am also a 500 hour certified yoga instructor, and a certified kids yoga instructor for children with ADHD and Autism. Through my kids' yoga training, I was able to learn from occupational therapists to better understand how to support children's sensory processing needs.

I have also participated in various trauma informed trainings for both supporting students in the classroom as well as adults in a yoga setting.
